Angels peaceful most of the time, they are usually only aggressive around the time they spawn, and males will be aggressive towards other males to win the approval of females.


*Usually, they need a school, but you can make it work with only two angels. it seems they need to be a bonded pair to get along.

Breeding

The corys will run up and down a surface to clean it, they usually choose somewhere with water flow so the eggs don’t rot. Females will hold the eggs in there anal fin. then make and female will do the “T pose”.

Origin

In the wild, they live in slow moving parts in the Amazon river basin. Found in Peru, Columbia and Brazil. They were scientifically described in the 1960s, but some sources suggest they were already in the aquarium hobby before their description.
